Men’s Ministry
Empowerment Group
We empower youths and young men to know that they “Can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me” – Philippians 4:13
Looking onto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, through Him, you will accomplish your God given destiny.
The women’s ministry at House of Comfort is a vibrant gathering of women with the main purpose of bringing out the hidden power of the woman who has chosen to serve Christ.
The woman is so important to God that He, under the man, has entrusted the management of the home to her – she can either build or tear it down.
The Lord God has endowed every woman with great potential to nurture and raise the coming generation, and this potential in the atmosphere of fellowship with the Holy Spirit will i impact our world.
Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised.
Youth Ministry
Our youth outreach is founded on the scripture which says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” – Proverbs 22:6
This ministry aims to prepare our youth as their awareness of the world increases, and in a time when they are more susceptible to peer pressure and the wrong kind of influence.
We aim to teach them the principles of the bible, and encourage them to form their thinking around the word of God. There are also planned activities and outings to suit the various age groups, and to encourage them to fellowship with others.
This ministry is divided into different age groups to meet their different developmental needs.
- 13yrs- 16yrs (Teens groups)
- 17yrs -20yrs (Young Adults)
Children’s Ministry
Our children’s ministry is for children from age 12 months to 12 years.
Here, the younger children typically from age 12 months to 5 years spend some time playing together and with toys. We also spend some time reading bible stories to them and teach them inspiring gospel songs and rhymes.
For the older children, typically 6 to 12 years of age, we focus mainly on expanding on the word they learned when they were younger and introduce them to new areas of the word so as they grow they are building on a solid foundation.
Here at House of Comfort, we believe that these are crucial stages in a child’s life like the scripture says in Proverbs 22:6 ‘Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.’ So bring your children along to our friendly Sunday school.
We set aside time to pray together, taking all issues and burdens to God in prayer.
We pray and intercede for the church, and encourage our wider congregation to pray together for issues they may be facing personally as well as issues that are present in our society.
The bible says in Ephesians 6:17-18 “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints…”
